Walking tour in Sucre: History, Culture & Amazing Views

1.Walking tour in Sucre: History, Culture & Amazing Views

★★★★★★★★★★4.8 · 79 reviews · 3 hours · from $13Our pick

Spend three hours exploring Sucre with an English- or Spanish-speaking guide such as Carla, Henry, Claire, Manu, or Bryan. Visit Guereo Mansion, Gato Negro, Recoleta viewpoint, the Museo de Arte Indígena, the main square, university courtyards, and a colonial tower. A short local-bus ride widens the tour beyond the center.

“Great! Carla was well informed and enthusiastic, we covered a lot in 3 hours and she was obviously passionate about her city. She was also sympathetic towards less active members of our group and tailored the walking speed for all members. It was also great to hop on a local bus to visit a wider area of the city. Would highly recommend this walking tour.”

Visit the History Museum, Independence Museum, City Museum, cathedral, and Melchor Pinto Cultural Center. The small group is limited to four, with English and Spanish tours lasting 150 minutes.

“Was interesting to discover the history of Santa Cruz from Paul his english was very good and he had a lot of knowledge. I also received advice on a traditional restaurant to eat at which was very good Maybe history could have been mixed more with tasting street food/market or tasting local drinks. Either as longer tour or different option - also many art galleries are worth visiting. Thank you Paul 🌞 the spicy tongue was good and also tried the lizard.”
